The Spire story

Spire Workforce Solutions was founded in 2013 by high school friends, Randy Fuerstenberg and Mike Jacoutot. Since then, Spire has climbed the ranks in the search, staffing and recruitment industry.  With 15+ years of combined experience in sales and staffing, Spire's network has grown, becoming a sought-after partner for talent acquisition teams and staffing firms across the country.  Spire’s greatest strength lies in our network of millennials who work in the staffing, recruiting and sales professions. Now that millennials comprise the largest segment in the workforce, our network is a tremendous value-add to Spire’s clientele, giving them access to the best and brightest of this generation.

Starting off in sales and recruiting, Spire is one firm that didn’t forget their roots.  Genuine, thoughtful, persistent and ethical are the traits that come to mind when clients are asked about our business. Spire wants to be known as straight-shooters, folks that care, and a true value-add to both candidates and clients.

At Spire, our promise is simple: To candidates, we guarantee to never place you with a company we wouldn’t ourselves go to work for. To clients, we guarantee that we will never send a candidate that we wouldn’t hire.

To help every candidate succeed in his or her job as a salesperson and understand the full effect of just how meaningful a career in sales can be. To help organizations thrive and become more competitive with the best and brightest sales talent. To help you grow your business- whether that be your personal brand, or your organization.

To be the staffing industry's most sought-after partner when looking for sales and recruiting talent.

To give real service, you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money- and that is sincerity and integrity.
— Douglas Adams

There are only two assets that appreciate in an organization: people and customers; the customer, and those who serve the customer. When it's all said and done, it's important to hire happy people and keep them happy, for they are the ones who serve the customer. This is how we do it:

We act with integrity and depend on each other.

We are driven by quality. We deliver the best of ourselves in every situation. We constantly look for ways to improve. "Perfection is not attainable. But if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence." - Vince Lombardi

We accept responsibility for our actions, inactions, attitude, and mistakes.

Mutual Respect

We treat others as we would like to be treated.

Mike Jacoutot Jr.- Managing Director

Mike attended The College of New Jersey as a wrestler and graduated with a B.S. in marketing after winning the college's prestigious "Business Leadership award." After starting his sales career with ADP in New Jersey, Mike earned President's Club in his first year.  In late 2012, Mike relocated back to Atlanta to start a career in IT Staffing.  Mike rose to the top of IT staffing sales, using the values he learned as a wrestler to become a true sales leader. After once again earning President's Club, Mike decided he wanted to build a different kind of staffing company, this time with his own set of values: attitude, personal accountability, perseverance, and habit. He wanted a company that would be client/talent first and step out of the stereotype that staffing agencies have created for themselves. In 2017, Mike was named to SIA's 40 under 40 list for his exemplary leadership and commitment to his clients. As a client-focused sales leader, Mike approaches business with a client for life mentality and has a thorough understanding of each individual client's needs. Mike has built this company to be different by design, and he's delivered on his values each and every day ever since.

Randy Fuerstenberg - Director of Talent Development

Call Randy to talk about a potential future with Spire. Try to stump him on college mascots- it's a game we all play.

Randy Fuerstenberg- Director of Talent Development

After graduating from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Sports Management, Randy began his career in public relations with Kennesaw State University. When he reunited with his former wrestling teammate, the idea of Spire Workforce Solutions was born.  With a talent for life mentality, Randy has a vast and loyal network of top-tier talent .  Randy believes it is his role to "seek to understand before asking to be understood."   His southern charm combined with his unwavering perseverance makes him one of the best recruiters in the market today. To that end, Randy acts as an "agent" for the talent he places by:

  • Taking the time to understand their needs and preferences

  • Ensuring the right compensation package

  • Caring for them and helping with career development

Not only is Randy's network of top tier talent a strategic competitive advantage for Spire, but the guidance and career advice Spire offers gives our talent a leg-up on the competition.

Matt Cheij- Recruiting Director, Southeast

Matt graduated from UGA's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications in 2010 with a degree in advertising. He began in the work world as a sales assistant for the Discovery Channel where he coordinated and implemented sponsorships to major clients such as PepBoys, Papa John's, and others. Shortly after his start at DC, he was promoted to Sales Planner. After DC, Matt worked as an account developer for Healthgrades where he quickly demonstrated his business acumen through sales presentations to top executives. Matt truly embodies the values of Spire and it shows through his tenacity with finding the best possible fit for the best talent. His focus is on building relationships and truly understanding the talent's needs, wants, and aspirations before advocating a client.

Ian McBain - Director of Healthcare Operations

Ian McBain began his career in the fitness industry working as Regional Vice President and Corporate Sales Manager for two of the largest fitness organizations in the country. He learned from those experiences that his passion for helping others and his professional life can go hand-in-hand.

He, along with a business partner, opened their own 24-hour gym and had success early on. He then decided that, in order to continue to grow professionally, it was time to spend time in a new arena. This was when he was offered the opportunity to grow his first staffing branch in Bristol, IN.

After getting engaged, he and his then-fiancé decided to move to Atlanta. There, he worked for a top 2% U.S. staffing firm. He was blessed to find success there - he oversaw the most profitable office in the Atlanta market and won Presidents Club honors during his two years with the company.

His career trajectory took him next to another Atlanta-based staffing firm where his work with the local Chamber inspired him to look more heavily into the value he could add to the health care industry and its impact on Georgia. With a passion for his faith, along with his goal to give, serve and love others, Ian wanted to find a position where he could add the most to others' lives in his career.

This led him to join the Spire team. He now works to help amazing health care organizations win their war for talent, while also helping charities and his local church continue to provide better lives for others.

Jason Paul - Director of Professional Services

Jason graduated The College of New Jersey School of Business with a B.S. in Finance. Upon graduation, Jason entered the workforce and pursued a career in accounting and finance. It was here where he really found his passion for building long-term relationships with vendors and clients.

After three years of success managing vendors and clients on the buying side, Jason decided it was time to bet on himself and jump to the quota carrying sell side of the relationship as an Account Executive with Canon in NYC. With his relationship building skills from his previous experiences, he hit the ground running and was promoted within his first year of selling. This led to three successful years of selling where Jason was a President’s Club qualifier each year.

Looking for a new challenge, Jason called his friend from TCNJ, Mike Jacoutot, to discuss where he should take the next step in his career. After months of back and forth conversations, they realized that there would be no better fit than here at Spire.

Based out of NJ/NYC, Jason takes the position as Director of Professional Services. His number one focus is to help organizations drive revenue. By taking the time to build relationships with his clients and understand their true wants and needs, Jason helps organizations build out their revenue driving teams with high producing, “A” player talent.
